SUPERFUND: a podcast launching in 2017

The federal "Superfund" program draws billions of dollars annually to clean up the most polluted places in the country. Today, the program lists over 1,300 active sites, with zero cleanups completed in 2016. Superfund explores a different site each episode to uncover the stories of people affected by hazardous waste. The five episode miniseries will connect listeners in a straightforward way to the polluted byproducts of modern America, and what those places mean in terms of public health, economics, race relations, and more.
